Essentials of Oil Painting

If you have always wanted to try painting with oils but was reluctant because of the toxic fumes from the solvents and cost, this is the workshop for you. We can now paint in oils without using toxic solvents and all materials are provided for a $40 materials fee, much less than you would spend individually. We start with learning how to control the paint and consistency and then paint a simple grayscale still life from observation. We move onto color mixing and theory and then paint still lifes in color. This is an enjoyable way to quickly learn whether oil painting is right for you.
